Laura and Aaron met in middle school at the local bowling alley. They were both so shy, but right away had a crush on each other. Their mutual friend wanted to set them up, but because Laura was in 7th grade and Aaron was in 6th, she thought he was too young…oh young love 😉
A few years later, they were both in high school. Laura always wanted to say hi to him, she just didn’t think that he’d remember her. Then, during the week of January 5, 2005, Aaron’s life changed forever. He was at wrestling practice and he and his teammates built a human pyramid… It collapsed and Aaron broke his neck, leaving him paralyzed. That summer after his accident, they met “again” and started chatting on MySpace (ah, MySpace days…) and became best friends. It took a lot of convincing and playing hard to get by Laura, but he didn’t give up and now they’ve been together for about 10 years!
Last year, Aaron bought a beautiful home in the Desert and Laura decided to have her birthday party there. It turned out to be a special night when Aaron found a way to get out of his wheelchair, onto one knee, and propose in front of their family and friends. She said “YES!” and the rest is history 🙂
Laura and Aaron were SO much fun to shoot with.. I swear, we didn’t stop laughing the entire time. Not only that, but they have a type of love that iss so easy to capture and the kind that immediately puts a smile on your face. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding in October!
