Jody and Matt Avalon Elopement, Palm Springs CA

These two awesome great dane owners have been together for over ten years! They finally decided to (secretly) get eloped here in sunny Palm Springs on Christmas day! They gave me a call about a month before their elopement…first thing they said was, “Well, we’re getting married on Christmas…would you be up for it?!” Being a mushball, ofcourse I said yes.. and I’m so glad I did. Elopements are SO  much fun, because it’s usually such a small, intimate group. In this case, however..it was just me, Jody and Matt!

They each wrote each other letters before the ceremony & had matching rings.

Their cake was ADORABLE..and delicious. (Another awesome perk of an elopement…I’m also kindddaa sorta a guest…which means I get to eat cake!)





 Yup, we rented bikes! How Palm Springs is THAT!



















They were definitely both looking goooood that day!

and loved that we were able to get all sorts of photos because of the time we had.

Then came the small, intimate ceremony in front of their room..it had me in tears!!





and obviously, both of them as well!

So..technically, I was their “witness” too..which means I had to hold on to the rings as well! Call me a one stop shop, people! 🙂 Right after they were married..they got a round of applause from some little peeping toms that had been watching the entire thing!

So of course, we had to cheers to them!

If you’re thinking about eloping, DO IT. It is SO much fun. I am so happy I was able to get close to these two and witness such a special day for them. Congrats to you, Jody and Matt! Hopefully, I waited long enough to post this 🙂
